Obituary for Annie D. Flowers
Obituary
Mother Annie Doris Flowers, the daughter of the late Leonard and Dollie Davis was born on September 15, 1939 in Grady County.
At an early age she joined the St. Paul M.B. Church and later moved her membership to Lily Hill M.B. Church. She was called home to be with the LORD on December 17, 2017.
She was educated in the Grady County School System and graduated in 1958 from Washington Consolidated School. She then married Willie James Flower Sr. on March 14, 1959. He preceded her in death. To this union six children were born.
Her hobbies included watching her soap operas and working on her puzzle books which we all know she loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her memory will live on through those she served and met during her life.
Two children preceded her in death Sam Allen Flowers and David Anthony Flowers. One sister: Velma Adams and Four brothers: L.D., Albert, Nathaniel and Walter Davis also preceded her in death
She leaves to cherish her memories three sons: Willie (Brenda) Flowers and Vickey (Beverly) Flowers of Climax, GA; Preston Flowers of Cairo, GA; Daughter: Angela (Lawayne) Davis of Bainbridge, GA; Brother: Leonard (Martha) Davis of Cairo, GA; three sisters: Ella Mae Wilson of Pelham, GA; Lillian Thornton (Joe) Thornton, NJ; Helen (Billy) Gurley; five sister-in-laws: Etta Davis of Cairo, GA; Lynette Davis of Whigham, GA; Shirley Ann Gunn (O.D.) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; Sammie Lou Battle of Bainbridge, GA and Helen Davis of Whigham, GA; five grandchildren: Martavious and Jasman of Climax, GA; Uriyah and Remy Davis of Bainbridge, GA; and David Flower, Jr. of Havana, FL; two great grandchildren: Jaquan Flowers and Alani Jenkins. Special friends: Hattie Ross and Kim Shakoor; She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
