Obituary for Adam J. Hopkins
Beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs. lsh and Rossie Hopkins; Adam Hopkins was called home November 19, 2016. He was born March 12, 1943 in Colquitt, Georgia. He was the youngest of 12 children born of this union.
He left Colquitt, Georgia and moved to Brooklyn, New York where he lived for a short time. He later returned to Georgia and met and married Annie Doris Fudge.
Brother Hopkins grew to know the Lord very early in his life. He was a member of Oaklong Baptist Church of Colquitt, Georgia. He was very active in his church and community and loved the land of agriculture. Brother Hopkins worked as a nuclear plant supervisor for many years in Gordon, Alabama. A job he loved and rewarded him very well, but could not give up the love of farming he had endured all his life. Meaning he farmed until his last days of his life. One of his favorite bible verses was "What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits unto me. If you will hold up He will show up.”
He was always a devoted father and a person to count on whether it was for his community or his family.
He was preceded in death by a son Tony Parson.
Left with precious memories are many including: children: Michael Adam Hopkins, Twins: Eric Hopkins and Deric Hopkins, and Tijuan Y. Hopkins; 10 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of surrounding family, friends and loved ones.
Brother Hopkins dreamed of seeing his beloved mother and father again: I believe all his dreams have come true
