Obituary for Alesia "Lisa" Jackson
Alesia Charvett Jackson, "Lisa", as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was born on August 28, 1964 to Mattie and David Jackson. Lisa attended the public schools of Decatur County. She attended Bainbridge College for two years, majoring in Computer Programing. She was a member of Second St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She was employed by Bainbridge State Hospital for 20 years. She worked for Georgia Pines until her health failed. Her illness began to weaken her physical strength, she became tired and weary, often in pain and misery she waited on orders from Christ, her spirit filled soul took it's flight across death's stream on Thursday, June 5, 2014, where at this moment she rests from her labors. Her father preceded her in death. Lisa leaves to cherish her memories a devoted mother, Mattie Jackson; three sons, Kendrick Mitchell, Ijhal Jackson, both of Bainbridge, GA; Undrea (Shakitta) Jackson, Louisiana; one daughter, Rovesiah Jackson, Bainbridge, GA; a devoted god-daughter, Yvonne Griffin, Cairo, GA; one devoted sister, Lora (Dewey) Thompson; three devoted brothers, Juno Jackson, David (Mary) Jackson, Kenneth (Cassandra) Jackson; five loving aunts, Ruth Daniels, Ann Blocker, Shirley Burnett, Vera Bostick, all of Rochester, NY, Loretta Murphy, Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other loving relatives.
