Obituary

Mother Allie Mae Anderson was born April 17, 1934 to the late Gussey Leroy Harrell and Henrietta Harrell in Climax, Ga. She married Deacon Lindsey Anderson, Sr. who preceded her in death. Allie Mae's daughter, Gloria Jean Carr, and son Lindsey Anderson, Jr. also preceded her in death along with her sisters Cloretta Anderson, Mae Etta Johnson, Hazel Scott, Cosmore Harrell, Lloyd Harrell, Charles Harrell, Eugene Harrell, Gussy Leroy Harrell and Hayward Harrell.

She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mount Mariah No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church and served as a Deaconess.

Mother Allie Mae was a lifetime resident of Attapulgus, GA. In her younger years she worked at Thompson's Industries then later became a housewife allowing her to spend time at home with her children.

Mother Allie Mae enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, shopping, and cooking.

Mother Allie Mae's door was always opened to others and she was always happy to entertain when visitors came. She had such a beautiful smile that would light up her eyes and warm your heart.

To say that Mother Allie Mae will be missed is an understatement. She was loved beyond measures. We ask that God bless us with strength and comfort as we heal from our great loss of such a wonderful, beautiful woman. She will always be in our hearts; she will forever be loved. We will cherish our memories of her and continue to tell the story of her life.

Mother Allie Mae Anderson is survived by her sons Lawrence Anderson (Youngstown, OH), Leonard Anderson (Atlanta, GA), Charles Anderson (Warren, OH), Jackie Anderson (Jacksonville, FL), Michael Anderson (Warren, OH), and Kirksey Anderson (Bainbridge, GA); and her daughters Shirley Douglas (National Harbor, MD), Rose Marie Mack (Tallahassee, FL), Carol Green (Jacksonville, FL), Sylvia Anderson (Attapulgus, GA), and Arlesa Anderson (Attapulgus, GA); many grandchildren and great-granchildren; her brothers Hope Gus Harrell, Authur Lee Harrell (St. Petersburgh, FL) and Norman Lee (St. Petersburgh, FL); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who loved her dearly.
