Obituary for Alma Jean Johnson Breedlove
SISTER ALMA JEAN JOHNSON BREEDLOVE was born on September 1, 1961 to Mr. John D. Johnson and Mrs. Annie Bell Johnson. GOD called her Home on Friday, January 16, 2015 to enter HIS Kingdom. Alma accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at an early age and joined Mount Moriah #2 Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Grady Pinkney. She was an excellent soprano singer and a dedicated member of the Kitchen Committee. Alma attended local schools and graduated from Bainbridge High School in the Class of 1979. She furthered her education at Thomas Technical College in Thomasville, Georgia and Bainbridge College in Bainbridge, Georgia. She was employed by the Decatur County Board of Education (DCBOE) as lunchroom personnel. Prior to her service at DCBOE, she was a caring nursing assistant at Whigham Nursing Home for a number of years. She married Harvey Lee Breedlove on December 1, 1987. Unto this union three children were born. She will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, nice personality, and beautiful spirit. She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Johnson, and a sister, Laverne Harris. Alma leaves a legacy of love to cherish her memories--a mother, Mrs. Annie Bell Johnson of Climax, GA; a son, Harvey Lee Breedlove, Jr.; two daughters, Arvie Shree Breedlove and Kadijah Kiara Breedlove; all of Bainbridge, GA; their father, Harvey Breedlove, Sr. of Bainbridge, GA; a grandson, Armarion Malik Thompson; her siblings: Joe Dell Robinson of Detroit, MI, Delores Ann Johnson, Delphine Arleen Johnson, and Phyllis Renna Johnson, all of Climax, GA; devoted sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Porter (Eugene) and Dianne Clark (Walter), both of Bainbridge, GA; a brother-in-law, Abraham Breedlove of Bainbridge, GA; sisters-in-law, Juanita Breedlove and Mildred Breedlove, both of Rochester, NY; uncles: Willie Larkin of Winston-Salem, NC, Tommie Larkin of Climax, GA, Johnny Larkin (Diane) of Detroit, MI, Robert Johnson, and David Johnson, both of St. Petersburg, FL; aunts: Carrie Bell Smith of Climax, GA, Ida C. Corker, Hattie Larkin, LouElla Larkin, all of Detroit, MI, Annelle Wilson (Oscar) of Tallahassee, FL, Betty Prince of Daytona Beach, FL, Alice Johnson (Cosmore) of McRaeville, GA, Venetta Simmons (George), and Vendora Williams, both of Havana, FL; three godchildren: Christy Hines of Climax, GA, Brandon Pearson, and Savion World, both of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
