Obituary for Alonda Veniszee
eautiful Alonda Taylor Veniszee went home to glory to early on June 21, 2016. Alonda was born July 9, 1998 in Rochester, New York to mother, Gloria Ann Veniszee (deceased) and father, Leon Wright. She was one of six (6) children, Lisa Veniszee-Thompson (Donald R. Thompson, Jr.) of Rochester, NY, Elder Cherri Hawkins of Rochester, NY, Arlene Wright of Rochester, NY, Leon Wright, Jr. of Rochester, NY, Samantha Shackleford of Andrews, SC, and Terry McFadden of Quincy, FL.

Alonda moved to Madison, Alabama with her mother in 2008. As a young child she loved to walk on her tippy toes and dance through the house as she made up her own words to songs her mother and sister played. Everyone knew one day she would be a dancer or a singer.

Along her short journey through life, Alonda tried and accomplished so many things. She tried her hand at basketball and volleyball, but dance seemed to be her nitch and she loved it. Alonda danced for the Southern Sensations Dance Studio for nine (9) years. Within those years her and the Southern Sensation dancers won several awards throughout the southern states, even winning National Competitions. However, she didn't stop there; she was also a member and captain of her high school dance team, The James Clemons High School Blue Angels. Showing so much compassion for dance she decided to minor in dance in college. Besides being a great dancer she was also a great student. Being nominated for The Distinguished Women Scholarship Award, participating in choir and charity event to raise money for the less fortunate. Accomplishing so many other achievements during her high school years demonstrates she was more than just a pretty face, she had brains too.

Alonda made many plans for her future after graduating from James Clemons Highs School, she was accepted at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama to major in Nursing (Oncology). It was her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps by also becoming an Alpha Phi Alpha Angel. With so many activities going on in her life she managed to be able to also hold a part time job at Mellow Mushroom Restaurant in Huntsville, Alabama.

Alonda was a dedicated friend and loving sister and will so terribly be missed by all. She was a very spiritual young lady and believed in the Holy Spirit. Alonda Taylor Veniszee has a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who cared deeply for her; especially her favorite cousins who she admired, loved and talked about all the time, Regina Veniszee, J'Quay Veniszee, Paris Lawhorn, London Lawhorn, Nataija Ridley and Laynee Veniszee, who she called her little sister.

Although Alonda’s life was cut short by tragedy, we must continue to think of her and the many memories. We know that she has gone too soon, but find comfort in knowing that Alonda is with her mother and the Lord Jesus Christ; watching over us and loving us from above, as we love her from below.

Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Trinity Baptist Church (1088 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758). Interment will be in the Breedlove Cemetery, Bainbridge, GA.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Royal Funeral Home.
