Mother Beulah Mae Sharpton Austin was born March 3, 1919 to the late Inola and George Sharpton. On June 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. God’s Angel of Mercy came and carried our beloved one to a place of eternal rest. She was educated in the school System of Decatur County.
She confessed Christ at an early age with The Star Bethlehem M.B. Church and later joined the newly established Lily Hill M.B. Church where she served over seventy plus years, faithfully in many roles until her health failed.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Ulysse Austin. To this union eleven children were born. She was a devoted, dedicated caring wife and mother, one who always put family first.
Beulah leaves to cherish her memories her children: Leroy (Barbara) Austin, Irene Scott, Mary Ann Austin, Henrietta Harris, Betty V. Blash, Eula M. Austin, George (Miguelita), Darrious Austin, Lloyd (Gail) Austin, Julian (Laqueita), and Frederick Austin. One brother: Robert Earl Sharpton; daughter in law: Patricia Austin; two first cousins; Mildred Jackson and Josephine Hall; Seven granddaughters, eleven grandsons, eighteen great-great granddaughters, nine great-great grandsons, five nieces, four nephews, cousins, Clifford Simons and Lucia Taylor and a host of other cousins, relatives, friends and neighbors. Special friends: Essie M. Davis, Cora Ealy, and Sherry Gadson.
