Brother Billy Joe Carroll was born on April 6, 1949 in Blakely, Georgia. He was the eldest of 10 children. He was born to Versie Lee Davis and Vernon Carroll. He was raised by his loving Grandmother Ida Mae Robinson.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1966. In 1966 he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 22 years. After retiring from the military he resided in Atlanta Georgia where he operated several businesses. He was a dedicated member of the Mason Lodge.
Brother Billy Joe was a devoted father, grandfather, son, father-in-law, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Brother Billy Joe was preceded in death by his loving stepfather: Frank Davis; brother: Charles Edward Hicks; sister: Patricia Carroll and devoted grandmother: Ida Mae Robinson.
Brother Billy Joe leaves to cherish his fondest memories loving mother: Versie Lee Davis of Blakely, GA; father: Vernon Carroll of Tampa FL; three sons: Carlton Livingston of Melbourne FL; Karl Carroll (Ecaterina) and William Carroll (Elizette) Both of Atlanta, GA; three brothers: Ulysses Davis and Milton Davis of Blakely, GA; Craig Davis (Terra) of Dothan, AL; Six Sisters: Emma Lee Lett (Harry) of Tallahassee, FL; Mary Jean Foster (Alfred), Priscilla Richardson, and Linda Smith of Blakely, GA and Margaret Reaves (Olen) of Dothan, AL and Michelle Guinn of Tampa FL; Five Grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. His closets and dearest friends to the ends were Daisy Thomas and Eddie B. Bankston.
