Reflections of life


Bobbie Lue Perkins affectionately known as "Nu" was the third child of eleven children born to the late Reverend Bonnie Perkins, Sr. and the late Gracie Mae Conyers-Perkins on September 1, 1940 in Cyrene, Georgia.


On Sunday evening June 30, 2024, God called Bobbie from her earthly home to her Heavenly Home.


Bobbie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership/Pastorate of the late Rev. Isaac "Ike" Conyers, Sr. later in life she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership/Pastorate of the late Rev. C.J. King where she served faithfully on the Usher Board and was a member of the choir until her health declined.


Bobbie received her formal education through the Decatur County School System at Hutto High School.


She was known to be a hard and dedicated worker. She worked for a number of years at Elberta Crate and Box Company.


Bobbie was a straight shooter, firm, fair and always got her point across without judgement. She had the HEART of a Lion and the LOVE of her family.


Bobbie was blessed with five children: Harry, Angela, Gregory and Veronica. Ronald preceded her in death.


Bobbie Lue will be fondly missed by all who loved and knew her. Lifetime memories will forever be cherished, but never forgotten by her loving and devoted children: Harry Perkins, Sr. (Tonia) of Marietta GA; Angela Fountain, Gregory Smiley (Lisa) and Veronica Burke-Hayes all of Bainbridge, GA; 17 Grandchildren: Darquita, Harry, Jr., Candis, Cedric, Shannon, Antione, Adrian, Austin, Carlos, Jr., Jamaal, Marquita, Donovan, Shatura, Tynesha, Tiara, Jatavia, and Jessica; 15 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Nora Johnson, Juanita Beaman, Mattie Perkins, Hattie Hodges, and Cassandra Perkins; Siblings preceded her in death: Mose Perkins, Emma Jean Perkins-Turner, Eddie George Perkins, Arthur Perkins, Sr, and Bonnie Perkins, Jr; Son-In-Law preceded her in death: Carlos Fountain, Sr; She also leaves to cherish in memories a devoted and loving niece: Sherry Landy-Ausgood, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving friends and relatives.
