Bobby Jene Parrish, 77, passed away Saturday January 28, 2023, at Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Bobby was born January 27, 1946, in Bainbridge, GA to the late RC and Ruby Parrish. Bobby worked as a truck driver for over 20 years at J. Pettichord Trucking and over 5 years at Huber Hauling Company. Bobby retired in 2022.
Bobby enjoyed collecting guns, fishing, and making sure his pickup truck was clean.
Bobby is survived by his wife: Rosa Parrish; five sons: Rick Parrish, Bobby Parrish Jr., Greg Parrish, David Smart, Nathaniel Parrish; daughter: Melanese Stevenson; three sisters: Lilly Parrish, Sharon Parrish, and Acenith Parrish; three brothers: Raspberry Parrish; Calvin Parrish, Arthur Parrish; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin and a host of other sorrowing families and friends.
He was preceded in death by his farther: RC Parish; Mother: Ruby Parrish; four brothers: William Parrish, Nelson Parrish, Robert Parrish, Joe Parrish; Sister: Julia Nelson.
