Obituary for Bonnie Lee Perkins Jr.

Brother Bonnie Lee “Shoe” Perkins Jr. was born October 17, 1948 in Cyrene, GA, to the late Bonnie Lee Perkins Sr. and the late Gracie Mae Conyers-Perkins. He was born one of eleven siblings; 4 of whom preceded him in death: Deacon Moses Perkins, Emma Jean Perkins-Turner, Reverend Eddie George Perkins and Deacon Arthur Lee Perkins Sr.
He graduated from Hutto High School class of 1968. He had a passion for football and a stellar performer as full back. At an early age he confessed Christ as his personal savior and joined Mount Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church under the pastoral of the late Reverend Issac Conyers. In later years he moved his membership to Mt. Olive M.B. Church under the Pastoral leadership of Reverend David Gosha, where he was a member at the time he was called to his heavenly home. He was employed with the city of Bainbridge for 13 years until his health failed in 2010. He also was an original member of the Spiritual Wonders. He was blessed with many skills: electrical, plumbing, carpentry and roofing. Bonnie was humble and fun person.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his son: Bryce Bevill (Stacy); Six grandchildren: Adayre Bevill, Jerah Bevill, Jakahri Mack, Jai’ McGriff, Jalil Moore, and Jaloni Mack. He was known as ‘Papa.” Six siblings: Nora Johnson (dedicated loving sister and caretaker) Bobbie Perkins, Hattie Hodges, and Mattie Perkins, all of Bainbridge, GA; Juanita Beaman and Cassandra Perkins both of Rochester, NY; one sister in law Addie Dean Perkins, Bainbridge, GA; 23 nieces and 14 nephews. 4 special nieces Regina Akins, Sherry Ausgood, Betty Crawford, and Personal care Patricia Ross. and host of relatives and friends.
