BRENDA LOUISE COOPER

Brenda Louise Cooper, also known as Nana, was born to the late William and Brady Mae Washington on February 14, 1955. She peacefully transitioned and went to be with the lord on August 26, 2024.
Brenda received her education in the Decatur County School System where she graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1973.
Brenda gave her life to Christ at an early age and began serving at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. John H. Wooden. As a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Brenda was a member of the Inspirational Choir and also served on the Usher Board.
Brenda would later marry James E. Cooper, Sr. and they would have three children together, Dr. James E. Cooper, Jr., Sherma Cooper, and Adrian Cooper, Sr.
Brenda was employed with American Electric/Thomas and Betts for over 18 years until the doors closed. After which Brenda focused on her love for cooking and began working for Simply Southern Restaurant and Catering and Pepi Food Service until she retired.
After retirement Brenda turned her focus fully on her children and grandchildren where she would frequently cook and spend more time with them.
Brenda is proceeded in death by her parents William and Brady Mae Washington, and her brother Mr. Otha Hunter.
Brenda is survived by her children, Dr. James E. Cooper Jr., Sherma Cooper, and Adrian Cooper Sr., her grandchildren Jeremy Cooper, Preston Dalton, Dorrian Cooper, Adrian Cooper, Jr., Brayden Cooper and Arianna Cooper. She is also survived by her two sisters Gwendolyn Washington and Geneva Bryant as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will cherish her memory.
