Brenda Deloris Hines Knight was born on November 19, 1969, in Bainbridge, Georgia to Spencer “Billy” Hines Sr. and the late Elouise M. Hines.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Second Morning Star M.B. Church in Attapulgus, Georgia. She later moved her membership to Smith Grove M.B. Church #1 in Amsterdam, Georgia, where she remained a faithful member until her passing. She later joined in holy matrimony with her husband Jeffery Knight, and to that union, two children were born: Quintessa then Kaelyn.
Brenda was educated in the Decatur County school system and is a 1989 graduate of Bainbridge High School. After she graduated, she attended Bainbridge College and went on to work in various areas of employment. She was a hard and dedicated worker who loved all who she came into contact with, and was passionate about any job that she was able to do until her illness hindered her from her working duties.
On Friday, July 7, 2023, at the age of 53 years old Brenda peacefully transitioned from labor to reward surrounded by her loving Husband, Daughter, Sisters, Brothers, and Father at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. After a long hard battle with illness, Brenda aka “Moonie” or “Moonie Mama” as affectionately called by her Father, exchanged her earthly house to move on to a heavenly house of God not made with hands.
She was preceded in death by her Mother; Elouise M. Hines, Brother; Ron Terrell Hines, Mother-in-law; Elizabeth “Sally” Knight, and Father-in-law; Daniel Knight Sr. and brother in law;Daniel Boone Knight Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy: her devoted husband Jeffery Knight; two daughters: Quintessa Knight and Kaelyn Knight; father: Spencer “Billy” Hines Sr.; four brothers: Steve Moore, Spencer Hines Jr. (Linda), Frank Hines, Patrick Hines (Marsha); two sisters: Trudie Burke (Kiture), Rebecca “Beck” Hines; two brother-in-laws: Ronald Knight (Yolanda), Richard Knight, four sister-in-laws: Jennifer “Niecee” Miller (Morris), Shonda Knight, Vonda Knight, Aquanetta Knight; two very special childhood friends:Shelia Mango and Yvonne Shaw, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.special childhood friends: Shelia Mango and Yvonne Shaw, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
