A Time to be Born
Brenda Deloris Betsey, the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Washington and the late Mrs. Pearlie Mae Washington was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on April 15, 1958.
A Time for Personal Decision
She accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
A Time for Personal Growth
Brenda attended the public schools in Decatur County. She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1976. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Albany State University and later went on to receive her Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Thomas University. Brenda was employed by Apalachee Correctional Facility in Sneads, Florida.'
A Time for Rest
On Saturday, December 5, 2020, our Heavenly Father called Brenda to rest. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Pearlie Mae Washington; her siblings Carolyn Washington, Lillie Ruth Washington, Lottie Ruth Washington, Gloria Pearson, Adell Howard, Bobby Washington and Melba Ann Washington; and her Godson, Deltrice Riles.
A Time to Love
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories three loving and devoted children; Tiffany (Linval) Sterling of Jonesboro, Georgia, Rondell Betsey of Riverdale, Georgia and Emily Mackey of Bainbridge, Georgia; “Nana’s Babies” (her heart beats) Emanuel Betsey, Jessica Sterling, Alex Sterling, Adisa Sterling, Ayla Boddie and Kamyri Harper; Her loving siblings, Annie Ruth Bennett, Odell (Christine) Washington, all of Bainbridge, Georgia, James Washington of Los Angeles, California and Pauline Betsey of Quincy, Florida; two aunts Josephine Davis of Jacksonville, Florida and Marie Lewis of Pensacola, Florida; a devoted friend, James Brown of Bainbridge, Georgia. Brenda also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
