Obituary for Brenda K. Perkins
BRENDA KAYE PERKINS was born on July 24, 1952 in Decatur County, Georgia to Nathan Howard and the late Virginia Howard Fudge. She attended school in the Decatur County School System and furthered her education at Bainbridge State College, where she earned a certificate in Licensed Practical Nursing. Brenda worked at Amoco Fabrics for twenty-five years until she retired. She then worked as an LPN at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital and Manor until she retired. Brenda was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Arthur Lee Perkins Sr. in July 1970. They were married for thirty-nine wonderful years until his demise. Brenda confessed CHRIST at an early age at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Reverend U. H. Dunahoe. She served in the Mount Olive Jubilee Choir as one of its original members. She was also the Manager and background tenor singer of the Gospel Choralettes. Brenda's memories and love for her family will live on in the lives she touched. Her beautiful legacy and spirit will be remembered by seven children: Regina Akins (Norris), Arthur Perkins Jr., Ingrid Ross (Willie), Dawn Perkins, Terrence Perkins, Shani Roberts, and Bradley Snell, all of Bainbridge, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren: Levante, Derrick, Kiara, Kaitlyn, Stephen Jr., Kaden, Jaden, Candace, Rakeem, Kortney, Taliyah, Arterious, Braylen, Summer, Autumn, and Nigel, all of Bainbridge, Georgia; four great grandchildren: Dashon, Kamrynn, Kayden, and Aadyn; five sisters: Linda Frazier (Timothy), Viola Flanders (Ervin), Delanda Jenkins (James), Deborah Jones, all of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Iris Howard Derby of Syracuse, New York; one brother, Ervin Fudge of Utica, New York; a very special friend, Randy Ray; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and sorrowful friends.
