Bruce Washington
Bruce William Washington was born in Bainbridge Georgia on June 28, 1957 to Alena Howard Sutton and Lonnie Washington. Bruce attended Decatur County Schools and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1975. As a teenager he worked at a local restaurant as a cook and also at Copeland Furniture Company. He attended Fort Valley State University, after deciding college wasn’t for him, he became employed by ITT United Plastic Division, then with Amoco Fabric and Fiber. He was later employed by Eddie Brinson Concrete Finishing Construction, Inc.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father Lonnie (Minnie) Washington, brother, Willie C. Brinson and brothers Lonnie Tyrone Washington and Michael Washington. A devoted Aunt who was like a mother, Brady Mae (William) Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted mother Alena Howard Sutton, his loving daughter, Tawanna D. Washington (Alex), his granddaughter, Madison E.R. Washington. His brothers: Joseph Allen of Fort Lauderdale Fl, Eddie (Alesia) Brinson of Bainbridge, Ga, his sisters: Gertrude (Charlie) Thompson of Lithonia, Ga and Sharon Sutton of Macon, Ga.
He also leaves his brother, James (Kathy) Brown of Tampa Fl, sisters: Cynthia (Roland) Edward of Seaford De. and Delores (Dee) Washington of Tampa Fl. Cousins who were raised as siblings: Otha (Connie) Hunter, Charlie (Angelia) Howard, Brenda Cooper, Gwendlyn Washington, Geneva (Jamica) Bryant. A loving and devoted Aunt Ethel (Mamie) Howard. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and a special daughter like love for Nikki Carter.
