Obituary for Carrie Belle Taylor
Mrs. Carrie Belle Hunter Taylor was the oldest child of the late Mr. Isaac Hunter, Sr., and the late Mrs. Mozella Jones Hunter. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia on December 24, 1934. She departed this life Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Tallahassee, Florida. She confessed Christ and united with the Macedonia M. B. Church (Back Street), Bainbridge, Georgia under the pastorate of the late Rev. R. W. Burgess in 1956 (serving almost 60 years). She was a member of the Jubilee Choir, Mothers Board, Deaconess, Women Auxiliary (President), Kitchen Committee (Chairperson). She served faithfully until her health declined. She graduated from Hutto High School in 1956. She was employed by Jack Winter, Inc. and Bainbridge Sports Wear, Inc. for many years. She also was an Avon Sales Representative. She married Mr. Peter Henry Taylor on April 4, 1959 and to this union three children were born. One son preceded her in death at birth. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Horace L. Taylor, and her daughter, Patricia A. Taylor, both of Bainbridge, GA. Her two sisters: Mirian Hunter, Albany, GA and Leona Hayes, Bainbridge, GA. One brother Bobbie L. (Susan E.) Hunter, Rochester, NY. Sister-in-laws: Carolyn Hunter, Bainbridge, GA. Mattie Mae Guyton (Nathan) Philadelphia, PA, and Bertha Evans (Malachi), Union, New Jersey. Brother-in-law: Benny Johnson, Fowlstown, GA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Peter H. Taylor; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hunter, Sr., one sister, Mrs. Hattie Mae Johnson, and one brother, Mr. Isaac Hunter, Jr.
