Obituary for Charlie Mae Broughton Robinson
Charlie Mae Broughton Robinson was born on April 28, 1940 to the late Charlie and Annie Mae Broughton. Charlie Mae grew up in Climax, Georgia and attended Decatur County Schools. She resided in Morristown, New Jersey for over 40 years and was employed at Racker/Danzig Law Firm. She was a faithful member of The Church of God in Christ, Morristown, New Jersey. She used her ministry of singing throughout her life as a vital part of the Church of God in Christ choir. Charlie Mae Broughton married Eddie Alexander Robinson on October 23, 1960 and to this union three children were born; Eddie Alexander Robinson, Jr., Alexia Ann Robinson and Lora Marie Robinson. She departed this life on May 18, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia. Charlie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Reola Lynette Johnson. Charlie Mae leaves to cherish her memories her children, Eddie (Kathy) Alexander Robinson, Jr., Alexia Ann Robinson, Lora Marie Robinson; grandchildren, Eddie III, Leah (Greg), Alex, Stephen, Justin, Tiffany, Danielle; great-grandchild, Lacey. She also leaves cherished memories by Laneeda (Kenneth), Lucia Dean, Clifford, William (Ernestine), Kenneth (Bernice), Marie, Sally and Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
