Chester was born and educated in Bainbridge Decatur County GA. He enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country.
He was preceded in death by loving parents: Alice and Arthur Harper; his exceptional and unconditional loving wife: Shirley; his loving brothers: Nelson and Griffin and his loving sisters: Geneva and Mary.
He will be forever loved and missed by children: Tyrone, Tonya, Chester Jr., and Shemeka and his very special baby girl Kayla; Oh how his brothers: Arthur (Gloria), Eddie (Charlotte) and Tommy (Marsha) will miss him; brother-in-law: James; sister: Renee and sister-in-laws: Florence and Ollie; Uncle Samuel (Vivian) , Aunt Catherine and very special friends: Toya and Emmitt; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
