Obituary for Christine Bell Smith
A Time For Personal Growth Sister Christine was raised by her grandparents. She later left home to marry Mr. Ellis Smith as her husband, becoming one flesh. This union was blessed with one child, Bennie Lee Smith. During early years she worked on the farm with her grandparents and other family members. Later she became a homemaker. A Time to Plant She was a longtime faithful member of the Second Morning Star Baptist Church. During this time she was a member of the Flint River Association an avid Sunday school participant and the mother of the Church. She was faithful and dutiful until illness forced her into confinement. A Time to Die Her final calling by God came on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. She was married 45 years to Mr. Ellis Smith until his death. Her only son preceded her in death on February 3, 2012. A Legacy Lives On She leaves behind to cherish her memory her a daughter-in-law: Eleanor Smith. Two grandchildren: Victor Smith and Crystal Smith-Williams. Three great grandchildren: Devin, Nakia, and Shakirah. Three great great grandchildren: Jayden, Imani and Deshawn. One Aunt: Mrs. Lindy Whigham and Very special friend: Mrs. Christine Malone. Her caretakers: Madames Anna L. Mosley, Earline Bouie and Johnnie Mae Livingston and a host of nephews and nieces and other relatives.
