Staff Sergeant Clyde Jerome Miller was born September 23, 1957 in Donalsonville, Georgia to Hazel Miller Burney and the late C. Frances. He transitioned to his eternal home on Thursday January 9, 2020.
At an early age Clyde joined Branchville Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health failed.
Clyde received his education from the Miller and
Decatur County School System. He graduated from Miller County High School in Colquitt Georgia (Class of 1975).
He severed 16 years in the United States Army and the National Guard. He received a Purple Heart. He was employed with the City of Colquitt before his health failed. He also spent several years at Thomas and Betts and drove trucks for the following companies: CR England and CRST.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Linda Peterson.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife: Linda Miller; a loving mother: Ms. Hazel Miller Burney; daughter: India Miller; stepson: Titus Butler whom he raised; eight siblings: Tynese Bryant, Cheryl Miller, Ervin Burney (Linda), Debra Burney, Shelia Burney, Wayne Burney, Reginald Burney (Kimberly) and Tyrone Burney (Nicole); three grandchildren; a special friend: Antonio “Dooly” Waters; a host of aunts, uncles, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other friends and relatives.
