Sister Cuties Mae was born on June 25, 1946 in Colquitt GA the daughter of Willie Mae White Slaton and Hezeykiah Backey (preceded her in death). Sister Cuties Mae Backey Jones was called home to glory on September 26th at 8:30 in Bainbridge, GA. She became a Seventh Day Adventist early in life faithfully vowing 49 years of services to her church Seventh Day Adventist as a Deaconess and Head Usher. Her beautiful, loving smile and presence will truly be missed. She attended school in Colquitt GA where she met and married Gene Jones 1965 to this union eight children were born. Cuties was a loving, caring and supportive mother and grandmother who devoted all her time and effort to her children and grandchildren. Offspring preceded her in death: Charlie B. Backev, Annelois Facen, Cleveland Backey and Mazine Jones and one granddaughter: Jessica Marie Butler. She leaves to cherish her memories children: Charlene Jones (Patrick), Nora Jones, Barbara Jones (Nelson), Arlisa Williams (Bobby), Carol Davis (Dominic), Willis Jones (Angie), Darrell Jones (Deon), Belinda Jones; Surviving siblings: Mary Lee Benton(Barney Benton preceded in death), Charles Backey (Charlie B), Florence Backey, Hezeykiah Backey, Betteye WiIllams, Gloria Johnson ( Roy); Eighteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and host of other sorrowing family and friends.
