Reflection of Life
Sister Cynthia "Bay-Bay" Williams was born on June 24, 1954 to the union of the late Bishop Franklin Willams and the late Jennie Louise Williams in St. Petersburg, Florida. She moved to Bainbridge, Georgia with her family while still a young child. She was the fourth of six children; Sandra Williams, Anita Williams and Tyrone Baulkman: She was preceded in death by her sister Cecilia Williams and brother Leorand Williams.
Our beloved Cynthia "Bay-Bay" transitioned from earthly life on Friday, April 16,2021 at the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family. " And as it is appointed unto me once to die but after this the judgement." Hebrews 9:27.
Cynthia "Bay-Bay" professed her faith and hope in Christ at an early age at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church under the Pastorate of the late Rev. C.J. King where she was a member of the youth choir. She attended Decatur County Public Schools. She was employed at Amoco Fabric and Fibers for 25years.
Cynthia "Bay-Bay" was blessed with four children: Tonja Williams, Ira Lee Florence Jr., Gramodius Williams and Alexis Williams.
Cynthia was affectionately known by most that knew her as "Bay-Bay". Having touched many lives with her kindness, caring spirit and a big heart full of love. She was most respected and a pillar of strength to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, cooking, shopping QVC and listening to Gospel Music: favorite Gospel Rance Allen. Bay will be fondly missed and remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, God-children, cousins and many close friends. A MOTHER AND MENTOR TO MANY..
She leaves to cherish her loving but never forgotten memories: her children: Tonja Williams, Valdosta, GA; Ira Lee Florence Jr., Gramodius Williams Sr,. and Alexis Williams, all of Bainbridge, GA; Nephews and Nieces whom she raised Shawn Williams-Chandler (James), Chundra Williams-Lawhorn (Darron), Napoleon Williams (Karen), Ernest Williams (Lashana); Grandchildren; Tejah Sanders, Cayden Armour, Tyler Armour, Sharteria Harper, Ira Lee Florence III, Andre Hayes, Jordan Adams (special bond), Tatyana Miles, Iesha Smart, Jacobi Adams, U.S. Army station in Alaska, Ineicia Florence, Irianna Conley, Isiah Perkins, Iriya Perkins, Gramodius Williams Jr., and Iaan Pitts; 15 Great grandchildren; Sisters: Sandra Williams-Christian (Lonnie) and Anita Williams; Brother: Tyrone Baulkman; God-daughters: Sherry Ausgood, Karla Jackson (Barrette) and Cassandra Landy; Godsons: Terryl McGreger and Roderick Grant; Best friends: Alberta Grimsley, Alfred Joe Henry and Rose Scott; Special cousins: Lawhorn Family, Miami FL; Devoted friend and caretaker: Sherry Ausgood; A host of special nephews, nieces, cousins and sorrowing family and friends.
