Obituary
David “Bud” Lane was born on June 12, 1949, in Lake Wales, Florida, to the late Ann Nell and T.C. Williams. On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, he peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord.
At an early age, David accepted Christ and began his journey of faith. He worked diligently as a Timber Cutter for more than 30 years, a career that reflected his strength, resilience, and dedication, before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ann Nell Williams and T.C. Williams; his sisters, Flossie Ward and Eartha Marshall; nephews David Williams, Taraus Bass, Shawn Green, and Kynaree Hogue; and his niece, Debra Wade.
Though he has gone on to eternal rest, David leaves behind cherished memories and a loving family. He is survived by his devoted sister, Christine Williams of Quincy, FL; nephews Henry Williams (Tiffany) of Coral Springs, FL, Raymond Ward (Sharon) of Quincy, FL, Lonnie Ward of Deland, FL, Nicholas Marshall, and Dennis Williams of Quincy, FL; nieces Beverly Ward of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Bridgette Burns of Tallahassee, FL, Ina Williams, Taffica Marshall, and Barbara Byrd (Antuan), all of Quincy, FL. He also leaves a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends to honor his memory.
In addition to his family, David leaves behind his best friend of over 40 years, Benjamin Burns, with whom he shared a lifelong bond of brotherhood and friendship.
David “Bud” Lane will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and the love he carried for his family and friends. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
