Obituary for Deacon Oscar Frazier
The Homegoing Celebration for the Life of Deacon Oscar Frazier. God called him home on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born October 3, 1923 in Decatur County to the late Mr. Preston Frazier and Mrs. Daisy Mae Hammonds Frazier. Up until his death he was a faithful and devoted member of The Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the Deacon Board and later became Chairman of the Deacon Board. He was a member of the Jubilee Choir for a number of years. He was a member of the Trustee Board and served as tresurer of the Church Finance Committee. Deacon Oscar Frazier was a member of the Masonic Oak City Lodge No. 74 of Bainbridge, Georgia. He was a veteran and served in the Armed Forces during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 502 of Bainbridge, Georgia. Deacon Oscar Frazier was married to the Late Mrs. Victoria Moten Frazier for 68 years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Preston Frazier and Daisy Mae Hammonds Frazier; four brothers: Carlton, Isaac, Lawson and Orlando Frazier; two sisters: Maggie Price and Dorothy Parris; three children: Annie Doris Frazier Fountain, Lottie R. Frazier Poole and James Edward Frazier. To cherish his memory, he leaves eight children: Mack Oscar Frazier of Albany, Georgia; Arthur Lee Frazier of Brandon, Florida; Deloris (Johnny) Jones of Albany, Georgia; Daisy Mae Frazier of Bainbridge, Georgia; Beverly Frazier Dumas of Douglasville, Georgia; Timothy Dewayne Frazier of Bainbridge, Georgia; Valerie (L. C.) Griffin of Horn Lake, Mississippi; and Zenobia (Bobby) Andrews of Swainsboro, Georgia; Three brothers: Sam Frazier of Pine Park, Georgia; Willie (Sally) Frazier of Albany, New York; Eddie (Melissa) Frazier of Leesburg, Georgia; Three sisters: Mary Small, Stella Thomas Bess, and Ida Pearl Drake of Albany, New York; two-sisters-in-laws; Ida Pearle Jones, Orlando, Florida and Fannie Frazier of Pine Park, Georgia; thirty-three grandchildren; fifty-seven great -grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; two special friends: Larry Edwards and Nathaniel Butler; one very special nephew, Michael Parris of Hillsborough, New Jersey.
