Sister Dimeter Joe Williams was born on April 3, 1954 in Miller County to the late Ozzie Bell Roberts and the late L.W. Williams. She was raised by her Grandparents the late Lola B. Williams and the Late R.W. Williams in Bainbridge, GA.
As a child she attended St. Luke Baptist Church. Later she joined Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church where she was a choir member active with the kitchen ministry as well as with the Youth Choir. Later in Life she joined St. Paul M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend John H. Wooden where she was a faithful member of the choir, worked with the van and kitchen ministry for several years as well as working with the children’s choir.
She graduated from Bainbridge High School Class of 1972. She worked as a Bus driver for Decatur County Board of Education. She received Bus driver of the year for 2009-2010 School year. She also completed and received awards on the local and state Bus Rodeo competitions. She retired in 2016 after 26 ½ years of services.
On September 29, 2019 she heard the Lord calling her form her earthly home to her heavenly home and now she is set free.
One sister and five brothers preceded her in death.
Sister Dimeter leaves to cherish her loving memories daughters: Kia Brown (Wilbur); Tiffany Wallace both of Bainbridge, GA; Jackie Ricks (Leonard) of Fort Gaines, GA; Seven Grandchildren: Joshua, Jasmine, Jalisa, Jalen, Jaqavious, Jamiya, Haley; Three sisters; Aunt: Charlie Mae Foster of Bainbridge, GA; lifelong friend Loretta Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, family and Friends.
