Donald James Green was born on October 3, 1964, to the late Joe Reatha Green and late William Handsford in Bainbridge, GA.
Don, as he was commonly called, attended and was educated in the Decatur County Public School System. At an early age he joined Emanuel M.B. Church under the pastorage of the late S.E. Ealey. After high school he worked for twelve years with Cox Funeral home and then he worked for Dollar Farm Products (27 years) until his death.
He later met and married the love of his life Tomonia Mckay on May 31, 2014. Together they attended church at Jesus Christ Deliverance Church under Pastor Louise Smith. Don lived his life to the fullest, cherishing every moment. He as a loving husband, step father, grandfather, true friend, devoted brother and uncle who will forever be missed
Donald departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving and faithful wife: Tomonia Green; six children: Adrienne McKay, Anthony McKay, Monisa McKay, Tewa McKay, Victor McKay, and Tevin McKay; 18 Grandchildren: a loving sister: Jacqueline Green, a dependable nephew: Brian Green all of Bainbridge, GA; He also leaves an uncle: Mr. Wallace (Alene) Green of Bear, Delaware; aunt: Deborah Green of Bronx, New York; Three dear friends Bobby Samuel Sr., Billy Walker and Calvin Cunningham all of Bainbridge, GA; Two sisters-in-law: Deborah Smith (William) and Crystal Bouie; brother in law: Johnny Bouie Jr. and a loving mother in law: Dorothy Davis; good friend Brother: Joe Simmons: his brothers of the Oak City Masonic Lodge #74 and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
