OBITUARY
Ms. Dorothy Anne Battle, affectionately known to many as “Ms. Dot”, was born August 30, 1952, at Griffin Hospital in Bainbridge, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Earl E. Hudson and Annie L. Hudson.
Ms. Dot received her education from the Decatur County School System being the LAST class to graduate from Hutto High School in 1970. After graduating Hutto she had a passion for nursing and pursued it by attending Albany State University. While at Albany State Ms. Dot received her CNA licensure as she was working towards her Bachelors of Nursing Science. Her dreams were placed on hold to care for her mothers’ declining health. She remained by her mothers’ side til she transitioned in February of 1990.
She went on to be united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Willie Gene Battle, Sr. During their union God blessed them with two children - Christella and Willie, Jr. After the two separated she never remarried but they maintained their friendship til he transitioned in July of 2024.
