Obituary
Dorothy J. Williams “Aunt Dot” the daughter of the late Minnie A Williams was born April 12, 1944 in Decatur County.
Aunt Dot confessed Christ at an early age; later in life she joined Antioch M. B. Church in Brinson Georgia under the leadership of Reverend Cleveland Sanders. She served faithfully until her health prevented attendance.
In her younger years she was employed by several well-known companies, such as AT&T, The Ritz Carlton and Sheraton, but all those jobs were just jobs. She found her true passion and became a day care provider. She would often state “Love is what it does”. Aunt Dot had a lot of love and loved children. She provided services for over 60 children throughout her career. She instilled in the children that had the pleasure of been around her, confidence, self-worth and humility. Aunt Dot’s gentle sprit of love was shown mostly around the heart of the home “The Kitchen Table”. Conversations, a memory we will all hold dear.
Dorothy was preceded in death by several siblings: Climon Foster, Eugene Williams, Johnny Williams and Estella Williams.
Dorothy J. Williams “Auntie” precious memories will forever be cherished by a son: Charles Jackson of Waycross, GA; daughter: Angela Balgoun, Bainbridge, GA; brother: Willie Williams (Josie) of Naples, FL; a devoted companion: Solomon Kendrick, of Bainbridge, GA; lifelong best friend: Lottie Byrd, of Bainbridge, GA; a host of sorrowing family and friends.
