Obituary for Ella J. Cox Carlton
Ella Jean Cox Carlton was born August 13, 1952 in Seminole County, GA to the late William and Mandy Cox. She was educated in the Seminole County public school system. Ella Jean later moved to Bainbridge, GA and worked at Elberta Crate and Box Company where she labored for 25 years and made numerous friends. Ella Jean accepted Christ at an early age and joined John the Baptist Church, where she remained a long-life faithful member until her health failed. On Thursday, September 4, 2014 Ella Jean transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Cox; two sisters, Mary and Elouise Cox; brother, Ezzie Lee Cox and a step-son Brian Bouie. She leaves to cherish her memories a special niece that she raised as her own, Joann Cox of Bainbridge, GA; two nephews, Tony Cox of Bainbridge, GA and Darren Cox (Jennifer) of Panama City, FL; step-children, Janylah Porter, Tonya and Dexter Bouie all of Bainbridge, GA; one sister, Ida Lee Howard of Miami, FL; two brothers, Charlie Cox (Gloria) of West Palm Beach, FL and Willie Henry Cox (Evelyn) of Iron City, GA; two aunts, Thelma Jones of Bainbridge, GA and Mary Lee Hunt of West Palm Beach, FL; a dear friend, Teresa Flowers of Atlanta, GA; a special cousin, Sandra Brown of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
