Erica LaTavia Jones was born on May 24, 1984, in Bainbridge Georgia to Eric Jones and Natalie Redding. She was the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Jacqueline (Babyray) Smalls, and the late Mr. Willie and late Mrs. Carrie Jones all of Bainbridge GA.
Erica was educated in the Decatur County school system and graduated with the class of 2003. She was employed at Tyson Foods Inc. in Camilla, Georgia. Then worked her own business braiding adults and children's hair until she became disabled in May of 2015.
Erica succumbed to her illness on December the 1, 2023 with her mother by her side.
Erica leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother: Natalie Redding, and loving father:Eric Jones (Mary); Four children: Jaylin Davis of South Carolina; J’von Tomlin of Tallahassee, FL; Anthony Osborne, Jr. and Zoey Jones both of Bainbridge GA; two brothers: Calvin Bowen, Jr. (Taniya) of Jacksonville FL and Jared Jones (Jerreika) of Bainbridge, GA; Two granddaughters that she loved dearly: Malani Davis and A’Janae Tomlin; Godmother: Sylvia Washington; Six aunts: Karrell Bush (Michael), Bernadine Heard, Catherine Slappy, Felicia Thomas, Tonya Jones, and Glenda Jones; three uncles: Greg Jones (Marcie) Fredric Jones and Terrence McNair; and a host of lovely nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends and classmates.
