Obituary for Ethel E. Williams
The magnificent life of Ethel Williams began on the 28th day of September in the year of 1939, in Bainbridge, Georgia. Ethel was born to the late parents of Charlie Williams and Sylvania B. Sirmons. Ethel was educated in Bainbridge (Decatur County) Georgia school system. Having accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, Ethel was baptized at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church. In the early 1960's, Ethel ventured to Brooklyn, New York, seeking employment after several years. She was successful, and began a career as a computer operator with Holmes Protection Inc. Entry level to supervisor. He had 20 plus years of service. She also worked as a certified nurse's aide. Ethel enjoyed shopping, sports, family, and family dinners. Her greatest joy was spending time with Brandon, her great nephew. Ethel was preceded in death by sisters: Irma, Mary, Bernice (cousin/sister), and brother, Griffin. Survivors to cherish her love and memories: Brother, John H. Williams, Sr. (Joan) Sisters: Charlie M. Williams, Bessie Frazier (Ervin), Victoria Pruett (Huey), Aunt, Essie M. White; Nephews: Walter Williams, John H. Williams, Jr. (Joyce), Dr. Algernon Williams (Kesha), Ronald Williams, Andre Butler, Audron Butler, Larry C. Williams, Sr. (Cassandra), Reginald Biggles, Derick Biggles, Daryl Frazier (Sherry), and Kerry Frazier; Nieces: Dr. Rhonda R. Pruitt, Anita Williams and Harrison Tucker. First cousin: Hettie Sessions, a host of great nephews, great nieces, nieces/cousins, cousins and friends.
