Obituary for Evangelist Gloria Dean Swain

**In Loving Memory of Gloria Dean Swain**

Gloria Dean Swain, a cherished resident of Bainbridge, Georgia, was born on November 29, 1956, in Attapulgus, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry and Rosa Emma Wright, who both welcomed her into eternal rest. Gloria was also preceded in death by her adored sisters, Elsie Wight and Rebecca Wright.

A true matriarch, Gloria's heart overflowed with love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her family were her greatest treasure, and she dedicated herself to nurturing them throughout her life. After graduating from Bainbridge High School she furthered her education at Georgia C. Wallace State College in Selma, AL. Gloria devoted over 30 years to public service with the State of Georgia, beginning her journey at the State Hospital before becoming a compassionate social worker. Her unwavering commitment to her work touched countless lives, and she took immense pride in making a positive impact in her community.

In a profound moment of spiritual awakening, Gloria answered God's call to serve as an Evangelist where she served faithfully at Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church, embracing her mission with grace and devotion as she served faithfully until she could no longer due to her health. Her faith guided her actions and inspired those around her.

Gloria leaves behind her devoted husband, Tommy Swain; her two beloved children, Selena (Richard) Teasley and Joan Thomas; and her four cherished grandchildren, Tyriek Merrill, Michael Woodard, Jr., Blake Thomas, and Kalani Teasley. She is also survived by six siblings: Charles (Juliet Dudley) Wright, Patrick (Elaine) Wright, Belinda (Terry) Corley, Roger (Chiquila) Wright, Emma Wright, and Frederick (Kimberly Saroglou) Wright, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews who adored her.

Gloria Dean Swain will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, strength, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
