Obituary
In loving memory of Evelyn Elaine Robinson
Evelyn, affectionately known as “Toot” was born in Donalsonville, GA on February 9, 1948. She was the second eldest child of Major and Pearline Quick who both welcomed her into eternal rest. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harry Robinson. Son, Dennis Robinson. Sisters, Dorothy Quick, Ann Davis and Gloria Reynolds. Brothers, Major Quick, Lester Quick, Ronald Quick and Arthur Quick.
She graduated high school from Seminole County Training School and later moved to Rochester, NY with her husband where she raised their three children. After the death of her husband, she moved to Lithonia, GA.
She loved children, especially babies, and all of her nieces, nephews and grandchildren loved her as well. You would often find one of them hugging her neck or her dressing them up, giving them multiple baths or buying small gifts for them. She enjoyed praising God and singing. She had a beautiful voice, but it was rare to catch her singing in public. Those that knew her well knew that she enjoyed card games, the casino and bingo which her husband would often joke was her “real job”.
She was a great cook and baker although she never gave herself credit for how delicious they were. We’d often beg her to bake a red velvet cake or some dressing for the holidays. Occasionally she would grant your wish after much begging. I actually think she enjoyed the begging.
In her latter years she encountered various health issues, but she fought hard and bounced back each time until God called her home on November 8, 2024.
Evelyn leaves behind her daughter: Sandra Fulmore (Jerry Beaty) of Covington, GA; son: Harry Robinson (Natasha) of College Park, GA; daughter-in-law: Marquita Robinson of Riverdale, GA granddaughters: Diamantra Fulmore of Charlotte, NC; Ayshia Faulkner Covington, GA; and Triniti Robinson of College Park, GA; Grandsons: Robert Watkins of Rochester, NY and Dendric Reynolds of Donalsonville, GA as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She spoke almost daily to her classmates and loved them dearly. There are also many inherited sons and daughters that were friends of her children who some called her Ms. Robinson but most called her “Ma” ; She also leaves her special friend and prayer partner Dorothy Livingston of College Park, GA
Her memory will live in the hearts of all that knew her forever.
