Fannie Bell Yates was born to the late Junior Roan and Nora Roan on September 29, 1953, in Metcalf Ga. She earned her diploma from Miami Jackson High School. While attending school Fannie played tennis.
Fannie was a member of Metcalf Baptist Church before changing her membership to Calvary Baptist Church. She was employed as a nurse aid in Miami Florida, before moving to Georgia where she worked as a paraprofessional at Lillian E. Williams Elementary School for several years. She always had a love for dancing, music, and bringing life to any party with her laugh and presence. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father the late Junior Roan, husband Thomas Yates, grand- mother Lucille Mitchell, brothers James Roan and Curtis Roan.
