Obituary for Flossie Mae Robinson
Mrs. Flossie M. Harris Robinson was born on March 5,1920 in Camilla, Ga. She was given her angel wings on Friday, June 5, 2015 She joined St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church at an early age where she confessed Christ. For 80 years she was a faithful servant.Shehelped serve in the dining room at St.Paul, she also served on the Mother Board until she became ill.Flossie was a God fearing woman who always put God first. She was a giver of love, wisdom, and peace. She genuinely cared for all people. She was a praying woman who loved the Lord. She also loved her family as well as her church family. She married the late Sam Robinson and out of that union, six children were born. She was educated in Decatur County Public Schools. Flossiewas employed at Lillian E. William Elementary School for 17 years until she retired.After retiring she enjoyed staying at home, sewing and fishing. She also was a caregiver to her late husband, her daughter and sister. In addition to being a care-giver she raised two of her grandchildren (Bishop Charlotte Hayes-Jeffreys and Larry Washington). Flossie was preceded by her husband Sam Robinson and her daughter Maple Smart. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Sam Robinson Jr. of Quincy, Fl., Charles Robinson (Ann) of Attapulgus, Ga.; three daughters, Sarah Conner (James) of Quincy, Fl., Annie Bob, Orlando, Fl., and Frankie Hughes, Attapulgus, Ga.; three sisters; Anna Lee Hinson, Tallahassee, Fl., Margie Ree Harris, and Johnnie M. Harris, Quincy, Fl.; one brother; Jerry Harris (Lois), Quincy, Fl.; three sister-in-laws and two brother-in-laws. She also leaves to mourn 32 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 41 great- great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, Ms. Pearl Campbell (care-giver) and friends.
