THE LIFE AND TIMES OF General
General Thompson Rollins Green was born on October 31, 1939, in Tallahassee FL, to Charles Rollins and Meader Thomas Green (Julius Green-Adopted dad), all deceased.
General (affectionately called Duk by those who loved him) confessed Christ as his Lord in his heart at an early age. General was the heart and soul of his family, caring and providing for his family and friends.
General was the caregiver of two of his nephews Sylvester Cooper, who preceded him in death, and Otis Cooper, who he leaves to cherish his memories.
He attended school in Leon County Public Schools and worked 47 years with Engelhard until his retirement. He loved farming, fishing, gardening, and mechanic work. A man full of wisdom, he inspired others to be the best version of themselves.
On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 3:49 am, God sent his angel to Southeast Hospital to tell his child, "It's time, come on home, my faithful servant." General was preceded in death by his daughter Ella Mae Green ( Feb 26,2025) and sisters Corene Cooper (Linzey), Ida Be Martin (Hutto), Thelma Gilley (Sammuel), Julia Rollins Lee (Perry), Helen Rollins Inge (Edward), Mary Rollins Mason (Marcellus), and his brothers Ezekiel Rollins (Mary Janie), Carroll Rollins (Elzadie).
