Obituary for Helen K. Williams
~ Obituary ~
Sister Helen K. Williams was born on February 17, 1952, to the late Predolia Kelly and Lila Johnson. She was the youngest of five children; Gloria Cooper and she was preceded in death by her sisters Agnes Kelly, Trudie Johnson, and brother Eddie Davis.
Helen accepted Christ at an early age while attending Mount Moriah #1 Missionary Baptist Church. She attended school in Attapulgus, Georgia and was the valedictorian of her class.
As a teenager, Helen met the forever love of her life, Larry Williams. God blessed Helen and Larry with 48 years of marriage. This union is the true definition of: to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and In health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part.
Sister Williams was a dedicated and diligent woman that carried herself with elegance and grace wherever she went. Helen was such a joy to be around and she loved her family dearly.
On Thursday, April 29, 2021, she gained her beautiful wings. She was surrounded by family, an abundance of love, prayer and soft music as she requested.
Forever cherishing her love and memory is her loving husband Larry Williams and daughter Leonta Willis (Christopher). Helen was a mother, aunt and mentor to many nieces and nephews; Felicia McLaurin, Tammie Brown, Linda Shaw, Nancy Johnson, Cindy Davis, Dr. Andre Bell, Gerald Johnson, Daryl Davis and the late Timothy Smith. A host of special great nieces and nephews; Ruben Leon Gibson Jr., Kiara Allen, Tiara Thomas (Elijah), Tiffany Smith, Tamara Gibson, Joshua Johnson, DeVondre Shaw, Ariana Bell and many great-great nieces and nephews. Helen is remembered by her dearest friend Vernita Brown. A host of loving cousins. Earlene Langston and Easter Frye, you both hold a special place In her heart.
