Obituary for Henry L. Mitchell
OBITUARY
Brother Henry Mitchell of Attapulgus , Georgia went to be with the Lord November 12, 2021. He was born to the late Deacon John and Sister Susie Mitchell on August 23, 1934.
Brother Henry accepted Christ at an early age and joined 2nd Morningstar M.B. Church of Attapulgus, Georgia.
He enjoyed watching TV and he loved the Jacksonville Jaguars and Boxing. He was a hard worker and a good provider. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke he was very knowledgeable about the things he said. Brother Henry attended the Decatur County Schools System. He was employed at Bainbridge Air base for several years and he retired from Mill White after 39 years as a machine operator.
Brother Henry will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish him memories a loving and devoted wife of 67 years: Alma Jackson Mitchell (known as Sue); Children: Freddie (Stephanie) Mitchell, Henry Taylor, Michael Taylor, Henry (Shanice) Taylor and Carolyn Stanfield; Grandchildren: Freddie M. Mitchell Jr., Rashad James, Martez James, Lorenzo Taylor, Shameka Washington, Bobby Washington, Dale Washington, Tymercia Hill, Henry Hill, Zoin Hill and Hakeem Hill; a host of Great grandchildren; Loving sister: Lois French of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, nephews, cousins, a special nephew: Gregory Malone of Monticello, FL; a special niece Artilla Walker of Saginaw Michigan; a host of sorrowing friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and daughter: Melba A. Washington.
