Brother I.V. Walker
February 26, 1934 - December 6, 2016
Today we celebrate the life of I.V. Walker who entered into Time on February 26, 1934 in Climax, GA and stepped into Eternity on December 6, 2016 in Morristown, NJ. Brother I.V. was the son of the late Albert Walker and Julia McDonald of Climax, GA.
He was a Veteran of the US Army.
In 1958 Brother I.V. married Bernice Williams of Colquitt, GA to this union three daughters were born.
He moved to Morristown, NJ where he was employed with International Paper Company for 20 years before moving onto Stone Container for 21 years where he retired in 1999.
Brother I.V. worked very hard to provide for his family that he loved immensely. He was loving, thoughtful and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was also a very generous person who would extend a helping hand to anyone in need and touched lives of all that he came in contact with.
He took pride in growing his garden, loved spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing.
The legacy Brother I.V. leaves behind will always be cherished by his wife: Bernice Walker; daughters: Tangie Walker, Philla Harris, Belinda Lyon; grandchildren: Derricka Pearson, Derrick Harris Jr, Teneick Walker, Shimone Walker, Tobin Lyon II, Qawdirah Harris, Nafees Lyon: great-grandchildren: Camren Pearson and Anya Miranda-Walker. He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
