Obituary for Inez Waters
Sister Inez Waters was born on February 3, 1921 in Bainbridge, Georgia to Joshua Lewis and Beulah James Lewis who proceeded her in death. Sister Inez was a mother to one son. She was preceded in death by three siblings: Laura Dell Martin, Retha Lewis and J. W. Lewis. She grew up in Bainbridge Georgia and received her education from Bainbridge College and Albany State College with a Teacher Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was employed with Decatur School system until she retired. She was also a teacher in the Wayne County Board of education in Detroit, Michigan before moving to Bainbridge. Sister Inez enjoyed the outdoors especially taking care of her garden, flowers, cats and her chicken. She loved to travel when time permitted her to do so and enjoying everything that God had to offer. On Sunday February 15, God lifted her burden and called her home giving her peace. She suffers no more and all is well with her soul. She leaves to cherish her memories one loving son: Willie Waters of Detroit Michigan; Four Grandchildren: Lashon, Renitta, Willie Jr. III, and Derrick Waters all of Detroit Michigan; Nine great grandchildren: Timothy, Phillip, Justin, Derrick Jr., Aubrey, Ashanti, Ashley, DeAndre and Zoey all of Detroit, Michigan; Seven great great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Tamia, Aniyah, Alijah, Carter, Kamani, and Duriah Waters all of Detroit Michigan, and a host of cousins, family and beloved friends.
