Obituary
Ivan Eugene Hayes was born August 31, 1967, in Decatur County to the late Billy Bruce Hayes and Eliza Biggles Hayes. “Cat Daddy” as he was affectionately called was the life of the party, even at a young age, always full of laughter, jokes and humor
He was preceded in death by his grandson Master Edward Jones, Jr. his parents Billy Eliza Hayes, his grandparents: Lewis and Roxie Hayes, and Lucille Biggles; his brothers: Marvin and Horace Floyd, Robert Hayes and Carl Micheal Biggles, and nephew Dewayne Baker.
Iven attended school at Hutto High School and was labeled as one of greatest Basketball players of his time. Cut Daddy loved to dress, he loved hanging out with the "hot gang" as he called him and his friends.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Morning Star Baptist Church in Bainbridge. Later, he was added to the body of Christ at New Freeman Christian Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Lester and Sharon Hayes.
Iven was employed by Ferris Lewis as a concrete finisher until his health began to decline.
Ivan leaves to cherish his memories a special friend: Lakesha Mana; His six children: Shawanna Jones, Orzel Jones, Chasity Dukes, Aaron Mendez, Aliyan Manuel and Deavion Manuel all of Bainbridge, GA, his 3 sisters: Mildred King (Kelvin) of Cairo, GA; Patrice McNair (Alexandra) of Bainbridge, GA; and Minister Elaine Smith (Harold) of Bainbridge, GA. His brothers: Pastor Lester Hayes (Sharon) of Valdosta, GA; Charles Hayes of Bainbridge, GA; Herman Peterson (Dionne) of New York, NY; and Curtis Biggles of Cairo, GA; ten grandchildren: Cameron Jones, Ashanti Jones, Trinity Gibson, Janya Gibson, Jamie Mendez, Legacy Manuel, Jerry Perkins, Lakyra Manual, Kylyn and Emory Jones; two great-grandchildren: Ali and Ace Jones; aunts: Ruth D. Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL; and a host of cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.
