Remembering JB
JB Parks was born on May 11, 1958, in Donalsonville, GA, to the late Ulysses and Queen Ester Parks. He was affectionately known by many as “Manny Boy” or “Terry.”
In 1976, he married Lenora McGriff, and to this union four children were born: J.D., Latisha, Timothy, and Doniell.
JB later joined United Holiness Church, where he loved to sing and worship. He had a deep love for music and a special passion for gardening, which brought him peace and joy.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Bennie Parks, Linell Parks, and Ulysses Parks Jr.; four sisters: Ethel Kendrick, May Bell Handford, Gladys Walker, and Lorene Davis; sisters-in-law: Mary Alice and Retha Parks; and brother-in-law: Jimmy Kendrick.
JB leaves to cherish his memory three sons: J.D. Parks of Donalsonville, GA; Timothy Parks of Brandon, FL; and Doniell Parks (Tatianna) of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Latisha Parks of Wesley Chapel, FL; three grandsons: Elijah, Dominic, and Legend; two granddaughters: Jakieria and Aubri; and two great-grandsons: Amire and Amour.
He is also survived by two sisters: Linda (Ivory) Parks of Donalsonville, GA, and Bernestine (Alford) Handford of Bainbridge, GA; one brother: Harry Parks of Donalsonville, GA; brother-in-law: Harvey Davis; and his best friend: John Henry. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will forever cherish his memory.
