Mr. James “Buddy” Dennis was born on July 2, 1954 Newark, New Jersey to the late John and Nervia Dennis. James was educated in the Newark, NJ public school system.
He had four sisters proceed him in death: Helen Bush, Jewel Blakely, Patricia Dennis and Renee Mims all of Newark, New Jersey.
He leaves to cherish his life five children: Khaliph (Octavis) Dennis-Brooks, Nashauwn Woodall, Taneisha Rogers (Vincent) of Newark, NJ; Brandon Dennis, Tallahassee, FL; Jazmen Dennis, Colquitt, GA; Terrence and Terrill Soto of Newark, NJ, Tamara and Larry Edwards and A’sia Davis of Colquitt GA; three sisters: Deloris Snell, Colquitt, GA; Barbara Carr, Pensacola, FL; Leona Dennis-Erwin (Randy Erwin), Newark NJ; Half-brothers: James (JT) and Ricky (RT) Hightower; adopted brothers: Marquis (Punky) Jahod and Edward (Speedy) Dennis; Six grandchildren; his partner of the past 20 years Rasheen Edwards; a host of nieces, nephew relatives, devoted friends.
