Obituary
Watertown - James E. Taylor, Sr., 93, formerly of Attapulgus, Georgia died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Carthage Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Carthage, NY with his loving family at his side.
Mr. Taylor will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Sherman Williams Cemetery in Attapulgus, Georgia on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
He was born on July 30, 1931, in Attapulgus, Georgia to the late Lee & Alzura (McGriff) Taylor. He served honorably in the United States Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina from 1951-1953. Mr. Taylor was a Mt. Moriah High School Graduate Climax Georgia; He retired from the Seaway National Bank Watertown N.Y. He married Annie Pearl Wade. Mrs. Taylor died on May 19, 2019.
Survivors include his son, James E. & his spouse! Margarita Taylor, Jr., of Panama City, Panama; two daughters, Jennifer L. & her spouse Connel L Rounds, Midway, GA; Madeline M. & her spouse Aaron P. Abraham, of Watertown NY; his sister, Mamie Austin; He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tracy Green Foster, Lavonda Taylor, LaTricia Rounds, Lashonda Pearson, James E. Taylor Ill., Emanuel Bartholomew, Jeremiah Rounds, Allannah Rounds, Elijah Bartholomew, and other nieces, nephews, and friends.
James loved to go fishing and spend time outdoors. He was an Usher member of the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.
