Reflection of Life
Mr. Jerome Bryant better known as RED age 72, gained his wings and went to that final Ball Field & eternal destination on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home with the love of his life Connie Thomas by his side. He was the son of the late Bertha Mae Bryant Cooper & JD Henderson, born May 4, 1953 in Sanford, Fl.
He was the second oldest of eleven siblings. He was of the Christian Faith.
Jerome "Red" was with the graduating class of 1971 from Bainbridge High School, where he played Football & Baseball. He later attended Albany Tech where he took up Electrician, he later made his career of Truck Driving for over 50 yrs. He had a LOVE and was so PASSIONATE for the game of Baseball that he had his own team "Cairo Red's", which he still played (Left-handed Pitcher) until 2023, he still carried on the Legacy of the team which were the League Champions of 2024 & 2025 never missing a game if possible.
In his free time he loved to tinker with his trucks whether it was his pick-ups or semis, playing/watching baseball and spending time with his life partner and taken many trips together. He loved to laugh, make others laugh with his many jokes & stories. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone that asked if he could. Red left an impact on many lives from his ball players, trucker buddies, friends & family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Bertha Mae Bryant Cooper, JD Henderson, brothers: Elick Henry Cooper Jr. & Eddie "Babby" Lewis Cooper.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Life Partner of 14 yrs: Connie Thomas, Climax, GA; Daughter: Natasha Bryant Green,Thomasville, GA; Kendrick Bryant, Las Vegas, NV; Nathan Bryant, Tallahassee, FL; Grandson: Kiyondre Bryant Rochester, NY; Four sisters: Dorothy McKinzie, Gainesville, FL; Eliza Hammonds & Josephine Cooper Climax, GA; & Natrina Butler (Calvin) Bainbridge, GA. Four brothers: Donald Cooper (Debbie) Quincy, FL; Herbert Cooper (Barbara) Climax, GA; Alfonza Cooper (Karen) & Harris Cooper both of Bainbridge, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
