The Obituary and Life of
Brother Jimmie C. Moore, Sr.
Brother Jimmie C. Moore, Sr. was born November 2, 1933 in Brinson, Georgia to the late Mr. Carey J. Moore, Sr. and Mrs. Hattie Mae Davis-Moore.
He received his education in Decatur County Georgia. He accepted Our Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age.
He worked for Beechnut Corporation and retired from Eastman Kodak both located in Rochester, New York. He then returned to his home in Bainbridge, Georgia in 1999. He attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined and was not able attend to any longer.
He is preceded in death by one son, Jimmie C. Moore, Jr. (Jem Jem), and three brothers, Mr. Carey J. Moore, Jr., Mr. Lewis C. Moore, and Mr. Dock E. Moore.
Brother Jimmie C. Moore leaves to cherish his memories two daughters: Marilyn A. Moore-Vazquez, (Carmelo, Jr.), Diane Moore-Drew, (Roland, Sr.); two grandsons: Marcus L. Fairwell (Markie) and Roland J. Drew, Jr. (Skeeter); four granddaughters: Shalena R. Vazquez (Sheila), Maritza L. Vazquez (Way Way), Melania M. Vazquez, and Mia J. Drew (Mee yaw), Six Great grandchildren: Romello Z. Hammond, Shayla A. Williams, Mari C. L. Fairwell, Carmelo M. Winston, Kemiya M. Barksdale, Kiylah M. Barksdale All of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers: one Devoted brother: Willie B. Moore (Cora) of Bainbridge, Georgia and Griffin H. Moore (Minnie) of Crandford, New Jersey; one sister: Ethel M. Moore-Crawford, and sister-in law: Eva Pearl Moore both of Bainbridge, Georgia. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, one special niece: Sylvia Moore-Corrigan of New Jersey.
