Obituary for Jimmy L. Register Jr.
The late Jimmy Register Jr. was born in Seminole County, Georgia on March 28, 1950, to the late Jimmy Register Sr. and Florence Sims Register. Early on the morning of September 2, 2022, God dispatched his Holy angels to escort Brother Jimmy Register into his loving arms.
Brother Jimmy Register was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age; he was baptized and joined St. Matthew M.B. Church.
Jimmy wore many hats during his employment years; his first was at the Nuclear Plant in Gordon, AL. When his plant work was complete he also worked for Brad Clarke and Mark Burkett of Killarney Farms and Terrill Scott of Scott Farms where Jeff Grooms is foreman. He always called himself the BIG Dog. Jimmy also loves to drive his Dodge Hemi.
Jimmy had always wanted to own farm animals. At one time around 2002 Jimmy owned approximately forty (40) heads of cows and calves, also goats, two horses and some chickens. When his health failed he had to sell the cows in January of this year.
He was the fifth of eight children born to the union of Florence and Jimmy Sr. Three of whom preceded him in death. Franklin Register (Catherine), Donalsonville, GA; Ceola Tucker (Bobby), Columbia, SC; and Master Luke Register.
He is survived by Pauline Edwards (Charlie Collier) who preceded her in death), (Leonard) Eddie Mae (George) Crenshaw Donalsonville, GA; John, Donalsonville, GA and Minister Lindsey Register (Francis) Donalsonville, GA;
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife: Evelyn Arline Register; eight beloved stepchildren: Margret Arline, Atlanta, GA; Gina Fennell, James Elijah, Eric Elijah (Selina), Marilyn (Dutchess) Taylor, Sandra (Cookie) Elijah, and Fredrick (Fred)Elijah; Grandchildren: Rondrigus (Bounk/Eli), Elijah, Ryon Fennell, James (Rock) Wilson, Janice (Sally) Wilson, Maettea(Tea) Martin, Latrice(Trice) Freeman) Edwardo), Eric (TY0, Elijah Jr, JaPeal (Peal) Elijah, Kynisha Bush, Christopher (CJ) Taylor, Kendra (ken) Elijah, Roddrick (Rod) Elijah; 33 great grandchildren. In-Laws: Gwendolyn Arline Lyons (James), Addie Arline, Quatin Earl, Patricia Hicks Arline, Milton Arline, (Annie Joyce) Joseph, Thomas Arline, Pauline, Niece: Charlene Collier Bruton, Von Dora Reynolds, Alexis Register, and Min. Lindsey Register Crenshaw; and a host of sorrowing family and friends.
