Obituary
On Monday, April 15, 2019, our beloved “Jo-Jo” was called home to be with our Lord and Savior.
Sister Joanna Benton Anderson was born on June 24, 1948, in Eldorado to the late Aaron and Tessie L. Benton.
She attended and graduated from Hutto High School in 1968 and attended Lively Technical Trade College in Tallahassee, FL. with a Certificate in Cosmetology.
She met and married Eugene Anderson and they were blessed with two daughters.
Sister Joanna “Jo-Jo” was an avid canner of fruit and vegetables, a quitter, a cosmologist, and loved to fish.
Sister Joanna “Jo-Jo” was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in Adult Outreach Unlimited Auxiliary, Drama Ministry and the Mission
She was preceded in death by her brother Johnny L. Benton.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her long life partner: Mr. Anderson, of Attapulgus, GA; daughters: Adrienne (Carl) Belin of Bainbridge, GA; Avis A Harbert, of Thomasville, GA; God children: Minister Tony (Joyce) Jones of Bainbridge, GA; Lisa Worlds of Bainbridge, GA; Jasmine Edmonds of Attapulgus, GA; and Dexter Harrell of Orlando, FL; Grandchildren: Peter Bruton Jr, Jasmine Belin, Jalen Belin and Ravin Harbert; Great grandchild;
Kamdyn Bruton; God great grandchildren: Jasmine Jones, Tyler Jones, Jocelyn Jones, Angelica Breedlove, Michael Turner, Wanda Kimble and Brodie Harris; siblings: Johnny (Anne) Salters of Detroit, MI; Mildred Ross of Bainbridge, GA Clementine (Franklin) Bell of Albany, GA;
and Ricky (Myra) Benton of Atlanta, GA; Brothers and Sisters in Law who she loved
dearly; Cora Anderson, Lottie (Richard) Knight, Rufus Anderson, Lillie (James) Cooper, Aloe
Anderson Jr, Etta (James) Myrik, Vera (George) Freeman, Oliver (Anne) Anderson, Walter
Anderson and Diane Anderson; and other sorrowing family and friends.
