Obituary for Joe Lewis Harris
Joe Lewis Harris was born on April 16 1961 in Amsterdam Georgia to the late Johnny C. Harris (father), And Nettie Harris (mother). He joined Grove Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age.
He is preceded in death by his father Johnny C. Harris sister Cassie Jeffrey and his grandmother Lovina Grace.
Joe graduated Bainbridge high school in 1979 and then he left and moved to California. Joe met the love of his life Barbara in high school they parted ways and met again in 1998 they were married on March 20, 1998 they had an enduring and loving marriage for 24 years and 11 months .
Joe was exceptionally loved by all his family members in-laws other family and friends whenever any of his family needed him whether it was his wife’s mother’s children siblings little nieces and little nephew HE WAS THERE.
Joe to cherish his memories his wife who he named “Peaches” Barbara Harris; mother: Nettie Harris; sons: Marquis Harris and Marque Richardson (Jennifer); he leaves to cherish his memories two granddaughters: Markia Richardson and Shy’teria Thompson. He also leads to cherish a daughter who he raises his own: Alexisa Richardson; six brothers and five sisters: who will cherish his memories: Freddie L. Harris (Patricia) of Atlanta GA; Donnie L. Harris (Gwendolyn) of St. Petersburg FL; Willie Ray Harris (Christina); Robert L Harris (Loretta); Steven L. Harris and Kenneth Harris all of Attapulgus, GA; Johnny Mae Enos (Walter) of LaGrange GA; Shunda L. Walker( Freddie) of Quincy FL; Lucille Horne (Tyrone) Nettie M. Holland and Brenda Hall of Attapulgus GA; he also leaves to cherish his memory a mother-in-law: Bernice Richardson and four: sister-in-laws and three brother-in-laws: Janice Mills (Joe) of Fowlstown GA; Ulysses Richardson( Karen), Sandra King Mittie Gattling (Ray) all of Attapulgus, GA;Della Mae Middleton (Patrick) of Bainbridge GA; David Richardson (Geneva) of Donalsonville GA and Daniel Richardson of Albany GA.
He also leads to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends who will miss him greatly.
